B1C Hosting Post-Election Conversation at Ferguson Library on Tuesday
Local Leaders Will be in Attendance
STAMFORD — A week after the 2024 election concluded, residents are invited to attend a Building One Community (B1C) conversation, titled “Paving the Way Forward,” on Tuesday, November 12, to reflect on the results and discuss what comes next.
From 6:00 - 7:30 pm at the Ferguson Library’s Main Branch, attendees will be able to hear from local officials and other participants about their thoughts and reactions to the aftermath of the election.
According to the event description, the event will be held in the Third Floor Auditorium and include “a panel discussion and Q&A with local leaders including [Mayor] Caroline Simmons, Superintendent Dr. Tamu Lucero and Chief Timothy Shaw as we discuss inclusivity and community support.”
Registration is requested and can be submitted online here. Anyone with questions about the event can email events@b1c.org for more information.
Building One Community, starting in 2011, has served as a “center for immigrant opportunity” by providing training, resources, and other support services to the immigrants arriving in Stamford and nearby municipalities.
Last year alone, B1C’s website indicates that more than 4,500 people received services from them and more than 13,000 hours of volunteer work were provided to the organization.
With a main location in Shippan near Cummings Park, B1C also has an educational center in Waterside.
