Civility in America Series
An accomplished writer and journalist will visit the Ferguson Library on Wednesday, September 17, to discuss her latest book.
Beginning at 6:00 pm, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and former Wall Street Journal publisher Karen Elliott House will be at the library’s main branch at the DiMattia Building to talk about a recent biography that she wrote, “The Man Who Would Be King: Mohammed bin Salman and the Transformation of Saudi Arabia.”
An announcement from the Library said that “[i]n the biography, House draws on exclusive interviews with the Crown Prince, his royal relatives, and his inner ring of advisors as well as more than 40 years of experience covering the Arab kingdom to reveal a leader who is a reformer determined to modernize his kingdom but also an autocrat who jails political opponents and rival princes to assure his grip on power.”
A resident of New Jersey, House previously wrote a book titled “On Saudi Arabia: Its People, Past, Religion, Fault Lines—and Future.”
Following the presentation, there will be a book sale and signing by Elm Street Books.
Registration is required and available here.
The event is presented in collaboration with Hearst Connecticut Media Group and The Dilenschneider Group.
