Stamford Chamber’s Friendsgiving Returns Soon. Here’s What You Need to Know
Annual Event Offers Opportunity to “Connect and Give Back”
STAMFORD — On Thursday, November 7, the Stamford Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Friendsgiving event at Hudson Social. Going from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, the occasion will include one drink and light appetizers with admission.
The lead sponsor for the event is HYPE Stamford. HYPE is an acronym for Helping Young Professionals Excel. According to its website, the organization “was formed by the Stamford Chamber of Commerce because it recognizes the changing demographics in our city and strives to encourage young professionals to engage and learn from other Chamber members.”
HYPE Stamford focuses on several areas, including networking opportunities, volunteering, socioeconomic change through education, career advancement, and more.
Tickets are available at stamfordchamber.com. The event is $45 for current members and $50 for future members with admission only open to individuals aged 21 years old or older.
In partnership with UConn Stamford and their Husky Harvest Food Pantry, event organizers are seeking to tackle hunger locally and support the next generation. The Stamford Chamber indicated that one in three students are food insecure, so attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the pantry.
Sponsors of the networking opportunity include Crown Castle, Minuteman Press, PuroClean, the Stamford Downtown Special Services District, and Teff.
