STAMFORD — The city’s downtown will soon welcome residents and visitors alike for the return of a winter tradition that began in early 2024. The family-friendly gathering will offer many activities for attendees.

Fire & Ice Winter Festival
On Saturday, January 24, 2026, according to a press release, the Fire & Ice Winter Festival will take place at Columbus Park from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Held between Washington Boulevard and Main Street, the seasonal event will feature several exciting attractions, including cozy fire pits, ice sculpting by talented professional artists, and live music.
The occasion also provides an opportunity to explore nearby restaurants that will have indoor and outdoor dining experiences available.
Presented by the Stamford Downtown Special Services District, the Festival is produced in collaboration with media partners Hey Stamford!, Star 99.9, WEBE 108, and WICC.

Ice Skating
Additionally on Saturday, January 24, the Mill River Park Collaborative’s website indicates that ice skating will be open to the public across the street from Columbus Park at the Cohen Skating Center from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
