STAMFORD — After the success of the first week, Summer in the Park continues with music and festive activities this week with more concerts for residents and visitors alike to enjoy in Mill River Park. The series, new for 2025, will keep going with a show on Thursday, July 17, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm featuring a selection of talented acts who will hit the stage.

July 17
While Soulja Boy had previously been scheduled to perform, organizers said that he “will no longer be appearing” due to unforeseen circumstances and that they will honor all previously purchased tickets.
In his place, hip-hop trio The Lox was added to the lineup. Formed in 1994, the group includes Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Styles P who originated in Yonkers, New York. So far, they have collaborated with big names likes Notorious B.I.G., Mariah Carey, and Jennifer Lopez. Their first album of four so far, “Money, Power & Respect,” went Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America certification.
Rapper Bow Wow, born in Ohio, got his start in 1993 and has been on the rise ever since. Snoop Dogg, Ciara, Omarion, and Jermaine Dupri are among the names of fellow artists who he has worked with during his career. Bow Wow has won once and been nominated twice for the BET Awards, was nominated for the NAACP Image Awards, and has received several other nominations and wins.

July 18
Jammy Buffet, a Jimmy Buffett-inspired experience, will be in town tomorrow as part of Summer Fun Fridays for a free show. In addition to their performance, there will be “tiki bars with tropical cocktails and tasty bites,” according to the event description. The full event will last from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

July 19
In celebration of the 215th anniversary of Colombia’s independence, there will be a festival for all ages from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm with authentic cuisine, activities for the whole family, and music to honor the nation’s rich cultural traditions and vibrant spirit.
The musical artists featured Saturday will be DJ Pereira followed by rapper Fariana and then singer Jessi Uribe. Tickets can be found here.
July 20
This event for all ages will go from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and offer attendees a chance to try some delicious selections from Tiki Bars and Caribbean food vendors.
Meanwhile, steel drum bands will be playing the whole time to keep the tropical mood going. Tickets for the free event are located here.
