STAMFORD — The popular Restaurant Weeks offering will return later this month and nearly three dozen eateries will be participating in the promotion organized by the Stamford Downtown Special Services District.
Starting Monday, February 17, and going through Sunday, March 2, the 35 restaurants will include “seasonal prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus and special promotions at value-oriented prices,” according to a press release.
The menus will offer selections ranging in price from $15 to $20 for lunch and $30 to $55 for dinner as well as special promotions from several Stamford Downtown restaurants.
In 2025, Food Rescue US, a local nonprofit that reduces hunger and food waste, will be partnering with Stamford Downtown for Winter Restaurant Weeks.
“Food Rescue US is proud to join forces with Stamford Downtown’s Winter Restaurant Weeks restaurants to ensure that surplus food is redirected to Pacific House in Stamford, serving the needs of homeless men & young adults in Stamford,” Karen Saggese, Food Rescue US - Fairfield County co-site director, said. “Our mission is to reduce food waste while combating hunger in Stamford and the surrounding communities.”
As part of the collaboration, the announcement stated that several restaurants participating in Winter Restaurant Weeks will be making and serving dinner at Pacific House Stamford Men’s Shelter alongside representatives from Food Rescue US and the Avon Theatre Film Center.
Separately, the Avon Theatre Film Center is offering patrons a chance to get one free medium popcorn with a purchase of a General Admission ticket. Interested individuals should ask for an Avon voucher when dining.
